Here are the major updates and milestones you may have missed from the first two weeks of September 2026.

5 SEPTEMBER 2026
31-PLOT EXPANSION PLAN OFFICIALLY BEGINS
The first mission of our 31-plot expansion plan was officially approved, marking the formal beginning of the city's latest expansion project.
Following the approval, 2 plots were successfully claimed. These first claims represent the opening stage of the planned expansion and provide additional space for future development, infrastructure, and other city projects.
At this point, 2 out of the planned 31 plots had been secured, leaving 29 plots still available to be claimed.
This approval gives the expansion a clear direction and establishes the groundwork for the larger development plan ahead.
6 SEPTEMBER 2026
EXPANSION REACHES 7 OF 31 PLOTS
Progress continued the very next day as 5 additional plots were successfully claimed.
Together with the 2 plots secured on September 5, this brings the total to 7 claimed plots out of 31 in the expansion plan.
That means 24 plots remain to be claimed as the project continues.
The rapid progress over these first two days demonstrates that the expansion plan is already moving forward, with a significant portion of the planned land secured in its opening stage.

26TH MOST POPULOUS CITY IN AMERICA
Another major milestone was reached on September 7.
The city officially became the 26th most populous city in America, placing us among the larger cities in the region by population.
Reaching 26th is certainly a milestone worth recognizing, but the ranking also gives us a new target to work toward.

ROAD DEVELOPMENT CONTINUES
Road construction continued along the route extending from the OldID Beltway-Decatur Bridge, further developing the city's transportation network.
As this section of the road system progresses, we are also introducing a new road to the city:
DOLLY PARTON ROAD
Named in honor of Tennessee's own Dolly Parton, the new road becomes another addition to the city's growing network of streets and routes.
Its development forms part of the continuing effort to connect expanding areas of the city while giving future development a stronger transportation foundation.
With the city continuing to expand, maintaining and extending reliable road connections will remain an important part of the development plan.

FOREST CLEARING PROGRAM OPENS TO CITIZENS
The Forest Clearing Program has officially opened to Tennessee City citizens.
The program welcomes citizens who wish to participate in clearing forested areas and preparing additional land for future use. As the city expands, having suitable land available for construction becomes increasingly important.
Citizen participation will therefore play a role in preparing the city for upcoming development and making better use of its available territory.
The program also provides an opportunity for citizens to contribute directly to the physical development of Tennessee City rather than leaving expansion entirely to city administration.
As more land becomes available, additional opportunities for construction, infrastructure, and future projects can follow.
